winter wave hits Gujarat. most of are under clod wind.
Vav, the border village in Banaskantha, recorded 62 mm of rain on Tuesday to top the rain chart in north Gujarat. Disaster management officials said that Radhanpur and Patan registered 34 mm rain each. Sabarkantha has witnessed continuous drizzles since Sunday, while in Mehsana, it has not rained much, but the chilly winds have made the life difficult for the residents.

About 150 farmers, mainly potato growers, have submitted a memorandum to Banaskantha district collector R J Patel, claiming to have suffered huge losses because of the unseasonal rains. The district collector has set up committees to assess the individual losses suffered by farmers.
